The old ships are nicely restored, with a great sense of atmosphere. Whether you sail along Lavaux and the vine fields or la Côte to admire the old villages and magnificent houses along the lake, you will have a fantastic time. Good food and service.

We enjoyed a nice day trip over to Montreux and then took the train back. The views were great from the boat of the vineyards along the way. We walked around Montreux a bit before returning on the train back to Lausanne.

What could be better than go on a trip on Lake of Geneva with CGN to experience one of the most beautiful regions that I have seen so far around the world. It is a must to do if you have a couple of days in the region.

We must have used CGN and their ferry system about 5 times in 2 days. We had purchased a 2 day regional pass, which allowed us to the all trains, all regional trains (up to Interlaken) and all CGN boats (both to/from Lausanne to Evian and out to Chateau De Chillon.) Every segment was on time and easy. There are... More

The ferries are free with your Swiss pass so take advantage of this way of travel. It's a relaxing way to see many villages. There are restaurants in both first and second classes. First classes is upstairs and is usually less crowded. The engines are fascinating to watch and are kept spotless as most Swiss things.

The "La Suisse" is very well refurbished as the original boat from 1910. His power and his speed are impressive. The cruise from Lausanne to Montreux is very nice.

Great option for sightseeing or if you just want to reach another town on the Geneva lake. They offer regular services between the cities (incl. some in France) or non -stop cruises if you want to enjoy the view from the boat and have more time.

On the boat you have the opportunity to see a beautiful and various lands cape, without stress. The engines of the old historical steamers are a real attraction.

We left at 1.15pm from Geneva Mont-Blanc and slowly went around a small part of the lake. Either Lake Geneva doesnt have much to offer or they really didnt want to tell you much about it, I think all in all they called out about 7 or 8 points worth noting and these were one liners. We spent about 90... More
