A jungle near the heart of the city-Lausanne. A nice trekking area very close to the Lausanne CBD with a all-wooden tower. You need to climb this 450 step tower to get a bird's eye view of the city. Consumes some time, though. Definitely recommended...More

bus 16 will bring you up to the lake Sauvabelin, a nice escape from the city, out to the green. a little lake, animals for childen, walking trails... we walked down to the Hermitage museum, less then half an hour, even when you walk slowly.

Lovely forest full of healthy trees and wildlife. There are interesting structures made of wood for the kids to climb around on and swings. We enjoyed a long walk with plenty to look at. Good for picnic or you can find a restaurant.

Very nice and calm forest north of Lausanne. From up there you can walk around a little lake where animals wont be far away from you. In summer you can even go srowing on the lake. It is something very to do with childrens.

Sauvabelin forest is a wonderful place to walk, to read, to kiss, ... in the city but we can feel out of. Wonderful garden and view over Leman...

I expected a nice forest, nature, good tracks and a beautiful view on the lake and the city. But it isn't actually a forest, it is more a city park. The few paths are not very spectacular, the little lake was empty, the tower was...More

It's a great place for kids. They can feed the ducks on the lake, watch the pigs, cows, rabbits and other animals. The playground is also quite nice, with a section for the smaller kids.

I loved running here - nice tracks, and great views. never busy. See the lake, children's zoo/ park (free and open 24hrs) and tower. Calling it a forest is a bit misleading.
