Due to subsidy restrictions by the City of Winterthur the museum was closed in spring 2015, part of the collection is shown in Hamburg, Paris with in credible success (Paris: 170'000 vistors in a few months). Please bring it back soon!!!

The house itself doesn't look very impressive, but what's on the inside is. Villa Flora, the former home of Hedy & Arthur Hahnloser houses their collection of mainly French and Swiss paintings, along with a few prints from the early 20th century. Get the day pass for all museums and make a (quick if necessary) trip here to see the villa and the exhibition. The current one juxtaposes Japanese prints and French artists influenced by them. The trilingual booklets they give you are very informative and well done. The staff are extra nice. Not a long walk from town. Supposed to close... More

The Villa Flora is a largish house in which the then-inhabitants acquired a fair amount of art from good post-impressionist artists and had it mounted in the house for their own use.
