Easy climb up a narrow staircase and not too high - and i am terrified of heights. Only issue is same way up and down so always having to stop to let people pass. Great view form the top. Cathedral is beautiful

Interesting place, very beautiful quiet a place for meditation. It should be included in your tour if you have the time. Is not far from the train station.

This is an important landmark church of Zurich, it looks good, but I was more interested of the legend behind building it. Legend goes: there were two brothers who ran off to Zurich for safety after they converted to Christianity. But According to legend, the...More

A fine example of the church here in Zurich. This place has a crypt that you must visit and had a serenity about it that is wonderful.

Very cramped going up those stairs at the beginning! I suffer with asthma which kicks off with stairs (not usually a problem as I just nip in to one side to calm my breathing) but the first flight of stairs was so tight that we...More

My wife, son, daughter and I visited Grossmunster in Zurich in November 2018. Grossmunster with its two towers dominates the historical center of Zurich. We went inside for a few minutes and the church has very nice stained glass. Grossmunster and Fraumunster are on opposite...More

5F entry so we didn't go in. No doubt there is history behind the church but charging is ridiculous especially after going into the Notre Dame for free.

If you do nothing culturally other than visit the Grossmunster this will tick all the boxes, a fantastic building, breath-taking views an all round gem and a must for any itinerary.

We did not do a tour. We walked around ourselves including walking up to top for great views of Zurich. How long it will take to walk up to the top of one of the lookouts depends on how many people are there a5 the same time.
