I was there at the "open day" to find myself in a large garden, no real information and no real appeal. The garden is apparently build to give biologists a nice time, but for people that like nature and the outdoors, you better go in...More

There's nothing else I can say. I visited the Botanical Garden during my trip to Swiss and I was impressed by the huge variety of plans, flowers and trees and how peaceful the place is.

October is never the best time to visit a garden, but the selection of plants seemed haphazard and poorly laid out. Regardless, I appreciated the variety of winding paths through them. The treat is the hothouses, which you don't often get free access to.

The Zurich Botanical Garden is a wonderful compact, but very comprehensive garden. There are many spots throughout the garden where you can just sit and enjoy a peaceful lunch among the trees. There are three glass domes with a large variety of plants from around...More
