The garden has several different areas with lots of different plants. We saw locals enjoying the sun bathing on grass, tadpoles swimming, it's a very relaxing and fun place. The tropical plants domes were very interesting too. Free to visit. Definitely worth visiting.

Remember, these comments are for tourists, not people from the city about which we write. For native citizens of Zurich, by all means go to the Botanical Garden--a great education for your children and a nice diversion for all. But for travelers, I must report...More

There was a Triathlon taking place and unfortunately much of the area was blocked off due to the race. What we did see was pretty...but we missed a great portion of it.

With reluctance, we entered the botanical garden. But, upon getting inside... we were astonished to see the floral treat. From tiny to large, plain to colourful... just amazing variety of flowers. There is a nice restaurant also inside. Don't miss it!

Good collection of tropical plants, but very few from other areas. There is still lots of places to expand and introduce more species.

Easy to get to by public transport - bus as well as various trams. A really very wonderful botanical garden; large, well-labelled, beautifully landscaped. There are three interconnected glasshouses for tropical plants. It's all a hilly place, and the splashes of color on the lawns...More
