As an interior designer, when I travel I try to visit design shops when I travel.. This area has quite a few furniture/design shops. They were open on saturday. A lot of nice products, both Swiss made and also from other countries.. Everyone speaks english.. I would recommend to people who like furniture/ product designs, and interiors..

This grand old dame station has transformed and passed on the charm to a place now full of artistic wonder and lovely place for food lovers. It also houses a cosy dry market to cater to the locals. Full of artistic shops that you can explore and very tasteful graffiti can be easily spotted on the grounds that you still... More

This is a very interesting place to visit, walk, shop and end you day in one of the restaurants and bars. Quirky and unique pieces of art and design as well as clothing and other products can be found in this street. As for the prices... I guess you can expect ZÜRICH prices. Even though the bar we visited wasn't... More

Unique industrial setting with stone ceilings and walls. Unique clothing, furniture, kitchen goods, sporting goods, jewelry etc. lots is pop up shops with very unusual things. Park right next to it with public rest rooms as well.

I was disappointed with Im Viadukt. The setting was great beneath the old rail viaduct but the shops were just more of the same tourist trap stuff. This is supposed to be a hipster area. As a confirmed hipster this was not a good example of my kind of space.

Interesting place to walk around for shopping and nice places to eat. No big brands but most of the items you get here will not be easily available elsewhere. Worth a visit.

spend half a day seeing a different side of Zurich! This is a very nice area of the city, where small designer shops and a farmers market had been situated among the arches of an old train bridge. There is also a lovely park near by where you can snack the goodies bought from the market. The stores are quite... More

One of the first things we do when visiting any city is to head for the local market to stock up for our stay. im Viadukt is very small but tends to offer a vendor for each food category -- cheese, fruit and vegetables, meat, seafood, wine, spirits, etc. Nothing at all as extensive as the markets of London, Munich,... Excellent place to relax. It can be easily reached by tram. Not the typical tourist place. Great variety of food and shops.
