Had higher expectations and upon entry did not see but only a few trees, virtually no gardening landscape and structures under construction. Even though entry was only 4fr, it was not worth admittance.

I loved this place "the Chinese Garden." I lived in Zurich for a month this summer and would walk there almost every single day.

The walk along the lake from the center of town was easy and the views great. It was half price because of work on the buildings. Even wth the buildings there was not much to see. We read that the average visit was 1.5 hours. It is more like a short half hour, even without the scaffolding.

Major rehabilitation was in progress within the garden, and we were advised of this at the ticket booth. With the scaffolding on some of the buildings, getting around is a bit difficult and you can't enter all that's there. Rehabilitation will go on for quite a while, and you should check before deciding to go.

The garden was a gift to Switzerland from China and they charge you to enter it. I heard one lady remark that it was like charging people to see your wedding gifts!!!! The garden it self is lovely but super-spoiled by the Chinese takeaway on the corner of the garden wall. This was just nasty.

Little do people know about this beautiful gem tucked in somewhere by the lake of Zurich. The open fields and the sand playground next to it is the best place for families. The Chinese Garden is a beautiful attraction.

This garden is quite small and was undergoing some repairs when we were there so the main pavilion was covered in scaffolding. However, we were able to enjoy the beauty of the buildings. The area round this garden is a very average park along the lakeside. We took a pleasant tram ride down from the centre of Zurich although some... More

The Chinese Garden is a little gem nestled close to the lake in the city center, close to nice bars and restaurants. It's worth a short visit, the entrance fee is very cheap as well. There are a couple of small pagodas, small bridges crossing ponds and shaded sitting areas where you can enjoy the peace and quiet. Having also... More
