While it might seem like only public transportation it’s a fun, easy and engaging ride for children and adults alike. It makes Zürich feel urban and outdoorsy, granting access to the forest so close above the city.

We rode up the Dolderbahn as part of a bus tour of the city. It is a fun ride for us tourist types! However, many residents, including bicyclists, use this to get up and down the steep hill. I would ride it again.
Use one of the oldest transportation available in Zurich and use the cable car to get to the terrace of the university. No need to buy an extra ticket since its included in your daily ticket if you bought one.
