Easy flat walking from a National trust car park to the end of the mainland. Fabulous views but crossing over to the Worm itself at low tide is only recommended for the fit and adventurous

This is one of many stunning spots in the gower peninsula. When the tide is low you can walk along the headland to the end but have to time it carefully to avoid getting stranded.

I must admit that I didn’t walk out to Worms Head, only as far as the RNLI shack above the causeway. Worm’s Head and Rhossili Bay are some of the UK’s most beautiful locations. The head looks amazing. Be warned that the causeway is only open 2.5 hours either side of low tide. Crossing at any other time is highly dangerous (see photo’s of high and low tide) and could lead to drowning. A must see landmark. There’s nothing between you and Florida or French Guyana in South America, except open water!

Fantastic scenery, ample paid parking a short walk to Worm's Head. Tide was not quite in enough to cross to the island and to be honest i probably wouldnt bother anyway. All the views are from the mainland. There is a medium walk down to the huge beach too. One of the best views ive seen, definitely worth going to if you enjoy a gentle walk and spectacular view.
