It's a nice place to go to, specially if you know some areas in the city. It is nevertheless not accessible to people with claustrophobia, as the way up is long and narrow. It is also very windy and cold up there.

The Martini toren is a great looking tower in the center of Groningen. After an exhausting climb to one of the viewing areas, great views can be enjoyed over the entire city.

It is a steep climb, many stairs, but worthwhile the view. Low entrance fee. The second highest church tower in the Neherlands

Tickets can be bought at the tourist office. We went early one morning when it wasn't busy. I can imagine it gets difficult to pass on the tight spiral stairs when there are lots of visitors!! The views from the top were very good, even on an overcast day.

Groningens Martine tower is probably the most famous Dutch tower, after Utrechts Dom tower. In that light the entrance fee of a few euros is quite cheap. The coins can be obtained at the tourist info across the street. From the tower one gets some really nice views over the old town. Especially the nearby Martini kerkhof is nice, but... More

Groningen from above in the tower is not what i'd call an inspiring city! It was a nice activity for 30 minutes but i'm not sure i would ever do it again!

A good way to spend 30 mins. Buy token at the tourist info place and then zip on up to the top of the tower. It was a little foggy but I imagine the views are unbeatable on a clear day

Lovely view, not too heavy when walking up the stairs but I wouldn't recommend it for people over 70 years old.

The tower offers a wonderful view of the city. Make sure that you have comfortable shoes - the steps are steep. The church also deserves to be visited.
