Finding this serene space while walking the city was a lovely experience. The gardens of roses and herbs are beautifully laid out. There is a splendid Sundial over the gate dating back to 11730. Having strolled around we took tea in the cafe garden.

Absolutely beautiful spot to have a walk around. The old sundial is very interesting. There's a great spot to have some tea, and all the plants are labeled so you can actually see what is planted.

Unfortunately I went here too early in the year. As you can imagine during the winter months it isn't that special, but you could already tell, that this is a little oasis in the city. Follow TheStyrianTraveller on Instagram and fb.

Did the tourist walk through Groningen and came to this beautiful garden with great history. It has a Sun dial that is not only beautiful but also has an interesting design. Can picture the history and splendour in the prime of its time.

Very Nice to Walk. Very quiet and serene. All kinds of roses. Very old garden with nice paths. Surrounded by old walls.

Beautiful centrally located garden that is remarkable for its silence. Have a look at the multistar hotel, but book or eat there only at your bank account's risk.

This is a lovely garden to visit in the middle of the city. Tucked away, you walk through the outdoor café and restaurant to enter. There is an English garden, herb garden and dozens of roses. We were there in early September and the roses...More

We had an unplanned visit. It was quiet, clean, everything was in style and beautiful. You can also enjoy sitting a while in peace.

Formal garden, which you appreciate even better if you check it out on Google maps once you're there. Initials of our then-still-prince, WA, very nice hedges and rose garden, herbal garden, and quite corners with shaded benches. A bit hidden but worth a visit.
