Statues of the Philips

There are at least two statues of Philips family members in Eindhoven city centre. Found this one to the fore of the train station surrounded by beautifully maintained flowers and lawn. Frits Philips’ uncle and father founded the company.

BRONZE STATUE OF ONE OF EINDHOVEN'S FAMOUS SONS

This full size statue of one of the instrumental founders of the Philips lighting company stands in a main market square surrounded by many restaurants and can get somewhat lost due to it's positioning. Frits Philips lived from 1905-2005 and not only oversee the main Philips organisation but also made PSV Eindhoven the dominant force it is in Dutch football due to it's backing.

in Eindhoven and is the last Philips to head the group.
