I mean, I know eating Asian food in the Netherlands as a tourist is strange. But this restaurant was quite cool. It has a strange hippy asian vibe going on but the food is good! The staff are young, so they are friendly and helpful. Side note, the food is spicy, so if you can’t handle spice - don’t go here! Lol. It is a Szechuan restaurant I believe, so go prepared for tasty spicy food! Compact menu - which means what they offer, is done well! The dumplings are delicious - especially the sauce they add ontop!! Also, very interesting location!

I came here expecting some kind of exhibition space and found, well, not much. The was a bike shop and a couple of cafes, but not cultural centre. I walked all around Sexyland and couldn't find it, but maybe it was closed.

Cultural club with varied program at the NDSM post-industrial area

Sexyland is not a night club, but a cultural centre with a highly variable almost daily program which can be found on their web site. It is located in the highly interesting post-industrial NDSM former ship-yard area, just steps away from the Hilton DoubleTree hotel there (strange but true, there is an also somewhat cultural and comfortable Hilton in this relatively rough part of Amsterdam North). It is also quite close to the post-modern restaurants Pllek, Cannibale Royale and the IJ-Kantine. It can be reached via free ferry from Amsterdam Central station, direction NDSM.
