During the seventeenth century the Dutch merchants of the VOC / WIC trading company (the Dutch East / West India Company) sailed the world and brought home wealth and prosperity (and slaves to the New World). Every aspect of life blommed. But what did they left in the East? During this walk we will visit locations that played an important part in the old and modern history of Amsterdam. Daily departs. Duration: 22,5 - 3 hours.

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.
