Great place

So many places to eat and drink here and we found it cheaper than in centre of Amsterdam. Fun place to people watch and particularly liked Dan Murphys Irish bar.

Pretty nice neighbourhood to walk around, do a little shopping or stop by for some beer and nibbles. Many hotels near by and love boat tour is right at the conner.

Leidseplein is a lovely area of the city, with lots to see, do and buy. A short walk from the centre of Amsterdam. Well worth a visit

Nice and crowded area. Lots of bars and restaurants. It is recommended to stop for a break in a café.

Lots of people here, eating, catching trams, and just enjoying life! With your back to the numerous outdoor seating umbrellas, if you walk along the alley way with the Burger King you will come across another square, Rembrantplein and we found it just as lively, if not more so........this is a great place to visit for sure.

I recently went to this place the end of May and our hotel happen to be in Leiden Square. I think it was awesome many shops and bars and things to see. We actually ended up in this little bar that actually has karaoke in English. I had an amazing time there. We did happy hour so drinks were cheap... More

Great spot for food, shops and bars. It is really vibrant and busy in the night. We stayed near here and it was a great location - near to the tram too.

Lively and pretty with many nice restaurants. Avoid the "Pancake House" on the one corner. We sat down for breakfast and ordered meals. The waitress, who was not at all friendly, asked what we wanted to drink. We said we did not want drinks. She said we had to order drinks and pointed to a place on menu that said... More

This is a lovely thoroughfare with plenty of places to eat . I think the main occupation of visitors is watching other people walk by whilst drinking or snacking. We were pleased to be staying nearby as we felt close to the action. I suspect it would be a tad noisy during a football match.
