683 reviews
Discover the real Netherlands in this amazing tour through Zaanse Schans, Edam, Volendam, and Marken – the jewels of the Dutch countryside.

The visit starts in Zaanse Schans, where you will be able to take pictures of typical Dutch windmills that are still in use today. Afterward, we will drive to the Waterland area, passing through the beautiful villages from this part of the country: Edam, Volendam, and Marken. In Edam, we will walk through historic sites like the square where the famous Cheese Market used to take place. Then, near Volendam, we will visit a local cheese producer, where the cheese master will explain how they produce Gouda and Edam cheeses. In the clog factory, you will discover the secrets of this typical Dutch shoe. Then, travel back in time to the 17th century as we walk by cozy fishermen houses in Marken, the fishing harbor, and the protestant church.

Join us for an unforgettable day visiting Edam, Volendam, Marken, and Zaanse Schans.

The Jordaan is exactly what you imagine Amsterdam to be like - loads of things to look at while strollig around the beautiful streets and over the canals. You could spend hours just wandering around.

The Jordaan is chock full of history and architecture with surprises around every corner. Allow time to just wander and duck into unique shops and experience legendary Dutch charm. We found ourselves going back over the course of our week in AMS to wander these streets. And don't forget to look up - there is so much to see.

It's what everyone imagines when they think of Holland and Amsterdam. Canals, tall thin houses several stories tall looking like gingerbread houses. Tons of bicycles on the street, at the bottom of the canals and everywhere else. It's magical in its own way and must see when visiting the city for the first time.

We LOVE the architecture of Amsterdam and if your like us and just like strolling around this city, slightly baked, taking it all in then The Jordaan is the place to be. Grand old house la and wonderful views down the canal. Wish I could live here ❤️
