Having read the reviews saying this place is terrible, I thought I would write one to the contrary. This is the BEST zoo I have ever been too and I would certainly go back. One thing I admired was that the enclosures are less 'enclosed'...More

I visited Artis on a few occasions along with my wife and our 2 little children, and every time we had a good memorable time. We’ve fallen in Love with this Zoo, which I definitely consider one of the best that I’ve been to. I...More

We have visited Zoos all over Europe in our travels and this one is a very lovely zoo! I wouldn’t say the best but definitely worth a visit! The lion enclosure is brilliant and you can get stunning views of them! We were lucky enough...More

I honestly cannot fault the place! So much to see and do for everyone of all ages. Disabled access to all areas is impressive as it’s not always seen back home. The layout and array of animals just made it for us. No set route,...More

We would recommend spending the whole day at the zoo. We saw a young giraffe, only 5days old, plus some wonderful viewings of elephants in their superb enclosure. It was a shame to see such small enclosures for the Lions, but this is a City...More

As this zoo was in the outskirts of the city centre I expected it to be a small place however, the zoo was very big and contained lots of variations of animals. There were little houses you could go into within the zoo and one...More

We had a great time here with our niece even though it was pouring rain at times. Well worth a visit. It's a bit expensive but it does have a nice aquarium to get out of the rain. Does it rain in Amsterdam? Who knew.
