We walked along Herengracht a number of times and visited on a canal cruise. This is a very charming neighborhood with some interesting architecture.

It's one of the main canals in Amsterdam. Really, a must see. Old buildings with beautiful facades. I recommend seeing from one of the tour boats though. It gives you a different perspective and you don't have to worry about traffic.

Herengracht is regarded as maybe the most important canal in Amsterdam. The houses are still regarded as prestigious and expensive. Once upon a time rich merchants lived in the area. One of the oldest residential house in Amsterdam built in 1590 can be seen here.

The Gentleman's Canal, it is beautiful, easy to find and another most see. Amsterdam has great & lots of canals but the scenery of each is different, so go on a canal tour is worth it.

I sat on a bench next to this canal often. It is so much fun to watch all types of boats go by. I was lucky. It was sunny the whole time I was in Amersterdam.

Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the
