The canal has some fabulous buildings on the sides and is worth seeing while on a boat cruise. On the cruise you get good commentary on board.

This canal runs from the north of Amsterdam, sweeping south and east to join the Amstel. This is a wide canal, in places lined with boats and some house boats. The houses are grand - but as you look up watch out for the bikes!

If you seen one canal, you get the feeling you have seen them all. Pretty house and bridges, a little uniqueness, but the over all feeling is - got the T-shirt.

We took a canal tour which was perfect for all the amazing history of the beautiful homes. Come back during your stay and take a leisurely stroll. Beautiful and relaxing area. My favorite canal!
