An amazing street market. Probably one of the longest I have seen. It has stalls selling just about anything. Amazing food, souvenirs, mechanise, clothing, etc, etc.. You name it they sell it. Lively, colourful and a fun place to stroll through and grab a bite.

Your typical huckster market with lots of choices of food. We happened upon Albert Cuypmarkt during a festival for Andre Hazes and everyone was singing Kenny Rogers songs in Dutch. It was fun and hilarious. Watch out for the lady giving HALF Stroopwafels.

Long stretch of stalls selling food, clothes and misc items. Variety of food that can be tried here at reasonable prices. Good place to purchase stroopwaffles as well. Try out this stall selling ala carte/sandwich of hummus and olives!

Most of the shops are preparing to open at about 0945. Best to visit after 1100. Prices here are generally cheaper. Enjoyed the roasted chicken. It's a must try.

De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag
through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp
Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s
many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic
thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in
search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly
half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners
and a good number of them are students. Here you'll

Don't remember seeing any at the Albert Cuyp market. There is quite a good selection at the flower market (bloemenmarkt) at singel street. Don't be tempted to buy at the first place you see. It doesn't take long to go... More
