This museum is easily reached in Haarlem, and provides a comprehensive display of Dutch masters. We were surprised that there was little mention of Frans Hals painting of the 'Laughing Cavalier'.

The museum have a fantastic selection of Golden Age dutch art on loan from the Budapest Museum until mid February which was an extra treat. Most of the paintings were portraiture. Lovely rooms/fireplaces.
