Although it was windy and a typical Dutch drizzle rain was coming down, we decided to make a stroll through the park. We were not disappointed! Beautiful views of the harbor of Hoorn and the Ijsselmeer (the former Southern Sea, part of the North Sea). There were even deer to see!!
Will certainly come back in the summer...

The park was okay, nothing special but nothing bad either. When someone doesnt like dogs he has to be carefull because there are many of them.

Very pretty was the view on the ocean.

Hoorn is not only famous with its history but it is also the music festival. In April is "Small Town Music Walk" and Rock 'N Roll festival in May. We always parked our car at the free parking area next to Juliana Park. This park is quite big for such small town. So we always walked through this park to the town centre.

I enjoyed my walk through Julianapark .The park has fine views towards the former "Zuiderzee" now called Markermeer Lake.
The town of Hoorn has several other parks like the smaller charming "Wilhelminaplantsoen" but Julianapark is the largest park and offers a small Lakeside beach.
