I was happy we took a morning, and took the 391 bus from Centraal Station to Zaanse Schans. It was very cool to see the windmills working, and actually go inside one of them.

Hi I’m Andre and we just use the gps and we took a public transportation it’s really easy,you must go to Central station and take a bus there.

From Amsterdam Centraal to Zaandijk Zaanse Schans station, it's 17 minutes by train. Then it's a 15-minute walk from the train station to Zaanse Schans itself, with many signs along the way. Once you arrive, you can explore... More

There was an entrance fee for some of the windmills but there is one that you can go into for free as it’s a shop
