My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this museum and shoe making factory with a live demonstration - which of course was much faster than what was done in the old days. But it was interesting in how shoes were made back then.
At the gift shop, you can buy some wooden shoes also.

Some people may call it a tourist trip, but what the heck no one is asking you to buy anything. On the contrary, you get to see these how these clogs, these wooden sturdy shoes are made, right in front of your eyes. And yes, apart from the shoes, they also have many souvenirs. Keep an eye on the time, they tend to close by 5,at least in winter.

This was a very lovely shop that I was glad that we stopped in to see during our stop in Zaandam. The most interesting aspect of the shop is that is provides an actual demonstration of how wooden clogs are made - this was a fascinating process and well worth the visit. There was a small section of displays explaining how wooden shoes became into existent and how they have changed throughout history. And, of course, there were plenty of wooden clogs to purchase - hundreds in every size and color imaginable. They also offered other souvenirs and trinkets for purchase. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. A must-see for a fun education on wooden clogs.

Very cool place with lots of clogs and their histories. Every 20 minutes or so an artisan takes a hunk of wood and makes a clog out of it using traditional tools. Very cool. Multi lingual.

The history of clogs (and how they’ve been used around the world for centuries) was both interesting and eye opening. The staff also demonstrate how to make clogs on site and it is fascinating! Well worth a look if in the area.

Interesting live demonstrations of clog making worth seeing. The rest is a huge gift shop full of everything clog related you could ever think of. Tons of great photo ops and neat souvenirs!

Si gli contadini olandesi gli usano per lavorare sono comodi e gli puoi facilmente lasciare fuori quando entri in casa
