We spent several days exploring the Kennemerduinen, cycling along the many numbered cycle routes, walking around Vogelmeer lake, discovering the observation point with complimentary telescope, and sighting endless rabbits and deer. We also found access to a remote section of the Bloemendaal aan Zee beach...More

We took an enjoyable short walk on the easier route as we weren't sure what to expect. Interesting look at the natural vegetation that covers the sand dunes. I assumed it would be more barren windswept sand.

Beautiful landscape containing of dunes near the sea. Ideal place for long walks or cycling tours. Outside the season you will hardly see other people.

Take your bike (or rent one in Zandvoort), get a picnic and explore! It's so worth it. Every time feels like a mini vacation. We love it.

We did a short bike ride beacause we hadn't enough time left before leaving Zandvoort but we saw a glimpse of its beauty. Dunes, reindeers, the winding path, the wind, the sky, the sea. Nice day far from the madding crowd!

Even with beautiful weather, when the Zandvoort beach is intensely crowded, the dunes are fantastic. You can walk here for hours and see only a couple of people. Incredible nature, lovely views.

Well kept and accessible by bike or walking. Free ranging cows, horses, frogs and snails to bee seen. And birds. Lots of them.

Although I live close to the dunes (Kijkduin, near The Hague), the 'Kennemer' dunes in the area between Haarlem and Zandvoort are way more impressive and beautiful for me. And since 2007 there is a another very good reason to visit de Kennemerduinen: in that...More
