Worth popping into if, like us, you are on your way going through Delft to the port area to try to see where Vermeer took his inspiration for his 'view of Delft'. The staff are lovely and very knowledgeable about this amateur painter who decided...More

Deft is a Venice in Netherlands and with its culture , paintings and pottery. Indeed, Delft is a museum in open air, but Museum Paul Tetar adds glamour to Delf.

It is the beautifully preserved 18th century Delft house of the artist who lived there for 30 years, complete with furniture, curios, original paintings by the artist and copies of old masters. (No photography or decent printers in those days!) The cost is 5 Euros...More

I wouldn't go way out of my way for this one--the paintings are not very special, but the 19th century ambience was pleasant.
