This wss quite a surprise when we got inside the house as it did not look much from the outside. The rooms were beautifully preserved and the furniture and furnishing exquisite. The cafe served the best cake I had had for a long while!

Huis Van Gijn is a beautiful home museum of an extremely wealthy family. It gives a glimpse how upper class lived in the late 18th and early 19th century. Great place to visit.

One of the few buildings which shows what it was like to live in Dordrecht as a well to do merchant. Well documented and very friendly staff!

If you're interested in how the very well off lived in the golden age and later, then this is the museum. Fine tapistries and furniture. In addition there is a small toy museum in the attic.

Great way to learn about live in the 19th century Dordrecht. Located in the hart of Dordrecht among one one the nicest "canals". Very easy especially with children.
