An interesting design that catches the eye. The whole block, where the church is, has some interesting building designs.

When walking around Rotterdam Central Station, you will fall onto modern buildings hosting shops and restaurants and then you will also have the chance to take a look at this surprising church!

It's not everyday that you run across a church housed in such an interesting structure as this one. But then, this is Rotterdam, so I shouldn't be surprised. The city is filled with interesting architecture. The church supports people who need help, such as the homeless and addicts. Worthy causes and great to see. Tours can be arranged if you're interested.

Not only is this a church but it is nondenominational and serves the homeless. We spoke for about an hour with one volunteer and learned a lot. There is a thrift store, a coffee shop and a kitchen that serves three meals a day to the homeless. There are some overnight accommodations for those with immigration issues as well as medical services, social services and legal assistance. There are showers for the clients and rooms for worship as well as the formal mass held on Sunday. They survive on charity and it certainly appears to be a worthy cause.

That’s what I love the most about Rotterdam - contemporary architecture. And this church building one of the greatest examples. I haven’t visited inside, but architecture looks nice. I would like to see more churches to be that futuristic look

We walked past this building. The design of the building and the building next to it are interesting to see and is a good design from the outside. The building stands out from other buildings. If your in the area it is nice to have have a look at as you walk around.

Incredible building, especially since it is a church. The buildings next to it make it even more awesome.

Very unusual modern architecture, odd choice for a church, a big surprise while riding along on the tram.

The old Pauluskerk was demolished some years ago together with next door Calypso cinema and Rijnhotel to make room for a new spectacular complex including a new Pauluskerk. The "old" Pauluskerk had gained some notoriety, because is was a sanctuary for homeless people and drugs addicts. This "new" Pauluskerk, built almost on the spot of the old building, shines with the bold architecture and is worth a second look.

The Pauluskerk has totally been renewed when the building next door (the really colorful 'De Calypso') was built. The architecture really stands out. Have a look when you walk from or towards Rotterdam Central Station.
