Worth to visit it, but we couldn't get into the palace itself.

For people who interested in social, political and of course legal matters should not forget to visit the Peace Palace in The Hague! I don't know how to arrange to join a guided tour to get into the palace itself, if possible at all, however the visitors centre at the entrance, offers an audio tour for free which is very... More

This building is a very important for the international justice, not only as a symbol of it. You can take a guided tour but you have to make a reservation first or you can just walking around in the visitor centre and find all information about peace. It's quite interesting. It's worth visit. Outside there is a bench where the... More

Having studied international law, I had always wanted to visit the International Courts of Justice and Arbitration. The tour takes you to into both chambers as well as into other rooms. The history and architecture is also explained. You need to plan ahead and check the official website for tour times about a week beforehand, which means you need some... More

Houses the International Court of Justice. There are free displays or you can do a tour. Very impressive to learn about the history and understand what the ICT actually does. If you like architecture you will be enthralled.

Ever watch Star Trek and think about the United Federation of Planets? Well that is basically the UN, and some of the most "anti war" pieces of the UN happen in the Hague because of this peace palace. This beautiful palace, and the adjoining information center is a must see for all global citizens and optimistic thinkers. History is being... More

Had a tour around the palace, really impressive sight. During the tour we got to see a video describing the ICJ, and the tour guide was very informative and friendly. We went through the main halls and it overwhelming.

The peace palace was paid for by robber baron Carnegie towards creating institutions for establishing a framework for the peaceful resolution of conflicts to achieve world peace. While the peace palace fell short of this lofty goal, it is still an impressive sight to visit and an important international institution.

I made a brief stop for photos (outside only) as I understand there are no tours because the courts are in session. Still, the main building is impressive. The large concrete planter in front of the main gate has "peace" in various languages and the mosaic benches were beautiful. Hopefully, I can return someday and have a more in depth... More
