On the way to the Hotel there was plenty of shops with very beautiful diamond jewellery of a very high standard. It was a Saterday afternoon and we can only do window shopping because the shops was closed.

I am sure you can possibly get a great purchase in Antwerp but with so many shops how does one know if the quality is legit. As for looking and getting to go a a tour of a Diamond shop this is the place to go. Bring your wallet if you are with your lady especially if she fancies Diamonds.

No visit to Antwerp is complete until you have visited the Diamond Quarter. Fantastic displays of jewels in the windows - non of which are priced of course. Incredible. Don't go on Saturdays - most will be closed as the trade is mostly undertaken by the Jewish Community who are mainly Chasidim in Antwerp.

At this neighbourhood most of the stores are closed on a saturday, and since we did not needed to buy diamonds we did not go back on the rainy sunday either. But on a nice sunny day it is a good place to shop arround. Now we just walked through to go to the center of Antwerp

I was rather disapointed by the Diamond District. Not actually much to see and in a bit of a strange area. You get excellent jewelry shops all over town, no need to go there

There is better diamond shopping in any of the Caribbean islands! We expected there to be numerous stores to wander by - most were closed (and it was 3PM on a weekday). All were closed by 5PM. Definitely not what we were expecting - those that were open did not offer any great deals - nice displays - basically can... More

Interesting part of a beautiful city. Worth taking a stroll down and looking at loads of stuff that you can't afford. Got an interesting atmosphere.
