One of the best collections from Rene Magritte can be found at the Magritte museum in Brussels, although it is part of a bigger museum complex it is very much a separate tribute to Magritte through different disciplines such as advertising, sculptures, film and paintings....More

A three floor museum devoted to the work of one of my favourite painters, and NOT AN ICONIC painting to be seen!!! No bowler hats, no apples, etc. Apparently they are all abroad, lots in USA. Would not have bothered to come all this way...More

You would hope that you would see some of Magritte's great works at the museum. Unfortunately not - it was a great disappointment. There are lots of other pictures and it is nicely laid out but there are only a few moderately well known paintings....More

There's a LOT of Magritte work here, and quite a lot of information if you take the time to read it (Flemish, French and English). Plenty of paintings, but also works on paper. We were there on the first Wednesday of the month, which is...More

Great place, 8 Euro entry. Worth it just for the superb Bruegel exhibition, don't miss it. Didn't have time to see the rest of the Museum, next time maybe.

Our guide was very good in showing us the most important works and how inovating they were. I liked very much to read his sayings in the walls, seeing photos and paintings.

I visited this museum as a result of a recommendation of a friend and I wasn't disappointed. The pictures are stunning - not just the pictures but also the other forms of art he made. There was also some personal background and some more information...More

I'm not a huge art fan but my partner wanted to visit. I was pleasantly surprised at the paintings and in the end wasn't a bad way to spend a few hours. Remember if you come to Brussels via the Eurostar, you get 2 for...More

It's a wonderful gallery, comparable to the Van Gogh in Amsterdam where such a great name in Surrealism can be known in a chronology of events, work, story and art through the 3/4 floors. Seeing this museum has only made me an even bigger fan...More
