Stunning Gardens

The Royal Palace has stunning gardens that made the trip to see it well worth it. The open house for the summer is a relatively restricted route, but you do see many of the... read more

I have been to many grand house and palaces, but this one tops them all. It has oodles of grandeur charm I could continue with many descriptive words. it feels light and airy. The chandeliers are absolutely stunning. A must see whilst in Brussels.

Well if you are there the right time of year, it is absolutely free! This is one of the prettier palaces I have been too, with lots of glorious chandeliers and beautiful artwork. Also interesting was the room with the ceiling covered with these green bugs, kind of strange, but it interesting to learn it refers to the royal's personal... More

The exterior of the Palace was beautiful with gorgeous gardens. Unfortunately, I didn't realise there was tours available. Across from the Palace, there was a beautiful park well worth a stroll and to sit down and enjoy an ice-cream!

Belgian Royal Family away in August, so the palace is available for limited tours. Closed on Mondays. For the royalists out there, this a VG tour. For views of the inside alone. Not a lot of history or input into the daily lives, but the decoration, furnishings and architecture are visually impressive. Grounds & gardens are visually impressive as well.... More

The Royal Palace has stunning gardens that made the trip to see it well worth it. The open house for the summer is a relatively restricted route, but you do see many of the palace's rooms. Plus, touring the palace was free. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful palace, so good that its free too!! Our guide on our tour told us it wasn't open, but we chanced across a sign on the gate which told us otherwise (closed Sunday/Monday). Thankfully we were able to make it back. Didn't know a lot about the history of the Belgian Monarchy, and to be honest it doesn't explain a... More

Queue up outside and you'll get free entry, then buy the guide book (more of a leaflet really) for 1 euro. I'd recommend getting the leaflet otherwise you won't have a clue what you're looking at. The tour itself wasn't great but it is free. You get to walk around a small potion of the building but it is very... More

The palace is grand, exquisite and vast. Lived the paintings on the huge walls and the beautifully lit halls adorned with heavy chandeliers

It was interesting but for a palace it was pretty weak. However, admission is free so......I would definitely recommend paying the 1 euro to buy a guide in your language. Items are simply tagged with a number, so without a guide you have no idea what you are looking at.

Admission free. Buy the guide for 1 Euro which has information on the exhibits. Good activity for children in the insect hall at the end of the tour
