Unique building in the city. The only bad thing is the area was not so pretty surrounding the Porte de Hal. You can pay to go inside however I did not. Just enjoyed in the exterior and main gate.

We visited the Halle Gate (‘Porte de Hal’ in French) on a freezing Sunday in March and thoroughly enjoyed it. This 14th gate is the sole remnant of the second circle of medieval city walls around Brussels. Its present picturesque appearance is not medieval though....More

Would’ve gotten a lot more out of it if the signage was also available in English. The English audio device helped but I think it only captures about half of what the signage available only in in French and Dutch does. Still it is worth...More

Some interesting stuff to see. It isn’t a big collection, but they have a few cool items. Very few, if any, English information plaques; but if you can read French, no probs. You can go right to the top — nice view. Worth 7 euros?...More

It kept seeing this place while taking the metro, so decided to stop by one day. It's a medieval museum, they have temporary exhibitions on top, currently an interesting one on old dollhouses. Was pleasantly surprised. An audio guide is included in your entrance fee...More

This attraction provided the best overlook of our trip. As a bonus it provided a lot of cool historical displays. We were surprised it had so few reviews as it was fun as well. This is the last surviving section of city tower/walls.

It was our first stop, we were very jet lagged but it was an easy walk from midi, so we gave it a shot. My wife found it very interesting and a hidden jem worth a look.

This former gate house on the old Brussels wall is worth a visit. There are exhibits on the guild whose buildings you can see in the grand place. Some medieval royal armour and ewapons. There are some open air balconies where you get some decent...More

We stumbled upon this having not even intended to make the visit, but very glad we did! There is a load of amazing stuff packed into this small museum, with fab maps and models of Brussels, some very quirky pieces (like the oldest stuffed horses...More
