Just a minute from the main shopping street, this classical symmetrical square presents a stolid front. Not much else to be honest.

A quiet spot close to Rue neuve. The square is well worth the visit, especially if you read the story behind. I definitely learned a couple of new things about Belgian history, but that was because of reading online, wouldn't mind if the square had...More

I found this on a hot Sunday afternoon and it was practically empty. There's one bar on the square and others down various streets off it. There are various neo-Classical buildings all around the square, as a single integrated design so the symmetry is complete...More

This place is in my opinion just a square, albeit with a nice momument in the center of it. I would not recommend taking any detours to visit this square. Pictures from google or tripadvisor should suffice.

We found this place by accident when out shopping on the main shopping parade in Brussels and looking for a sit down to rest in the extreme heat. This is literally just behind the shopping street and is so quiet and peaceful it's hard to...More

I found this square by accident and found it to be a quiet, clean, and peaceful spot. The history was quite sad as it's the resting spot for so many. It's near a school, so plenty of students were around.

A nice place where you can sit and take a peaceful rest on a bench – in the sun if you are lucky. It is close to the shopping center and shopping street but yet quite. The architecture of the surrounding buildings is great.

Worth a few minutes of anybody's time to enjoy some peaceful contemplation away from the bustling streets of Brussels. Best enjoyed in the early evening with a fine scotch or two - Talisker Dark Storm being my recommendation.
