I like it very much You can buy books and souvenirs of Brussels, not too crowded and you can eat fresh and natural food in the green tavern

Some intersting pieces of the private life of our past kings, that explain the life in XX century for the royal family. We visited it during a night event. It was rather fun as one part of the visit was in the underground part (old castel of Brussels). We recommend it, for kids, for senior, .. everyone can learn something... More

It's a good place to visit if you want to know something about the Brussels and Belgium history. I'm not a pro if we are talking about Belgium history so I found it very satisfying to complete my lack of knowledge. Interesting displays, guide in English handed in the ticket desk. Museum is a part of Brussels Museum Pass.

I like this museum, beautiful old architecture-great court yard for relaxing and having a coffee, lovely gift shop and I visited a very small exhibit of African masks

I really liked this museum. I found it a great introduction to the history of Belgium (of which I had very little prior knowledge) and its monarchy. My only qualm is that the objects themselves didn't hold too much interest for me - it was really just the information boards that held my attention in each room. Nevertheless, it's worth... More

We visited this museum thinking that it would give a good history of Brussels. It did give a certain amount of interesting information about Brussels but to be frank it kind of got a bit lost amongst hundreds of documents on display. We found this museum a bit dull to be honest and ended up skipping some large sections as... More

For our family of history buffs, this museum was perfect. It lays out the history of the country of Belgium intertwined with the royal family. Very interesting - even for the 7 year old!

It is rated as one of the best museums. Visit on every first Sunday of the month is free to this museum. There are few rare and interesting items on display like the vintage camera used by one of the kings, war artifacts, a golden ship given as a present etc

We enjoyed this museum as it has a nice English summary in multiple rooms aboit Belgium history. We were also given an English Guide to help identify the objects in each room. There were also multiple items in each room to touch & feel. We were the only people in the museum which made it very pleasant. We enjoyed our... More
