We took a tour on the first day after arriving in Costa Rica, and it was the perfect introduction to a beautiful country. Our tour guide picked us right up at the hotel and was a wealth of information without being overbearing. He drove us through the lovely countryside and answered any & all of our questions with ease and... More

Our tour started by walking through bird, butterflies and snakes sanctuaries. Which was followed by the breathtaking waterfalls and plenty of opportunities for pictures. They have a little restaurant and food wasn't half bad, I don't know how much it cost as it was included in our tour but it was all you can eat and there was enough selection.... More

There are several sections to the gardens - butterflies, monkeys, frongs, leopards etc. The main attraction is the three waterfalls for sure. Get ready to puff an pant though :-). It is a lot of trekking in the rain forests. There is nature around you and you can feel the fresh air.

This place was wonderful!! We got to see a variety of animals including birds, butterflies, monkeys and jungle cats. We even got to hold a toucan which made my trip!!! The waterfall hike is very physically demanding with tons of steps!!! We are a young and active couple so wasn't bad for us but may not be suitable for everyone!... More

Yes, we went in a driving rainstorm, but we weren't alone. There were several hundred other people there on various tours. This place is so amazing, it's worth getting drenched to experience. The grounds are meticulously maintained. It would have been even more amazing with sunshine, but that wasn't in the cards for our day trip. Still we were able... More

What a wonderful place! My husband and I visited here 8 years ago and always said we would return! We brought our two boys, 7 and 3 along with us and they just loved it!! The waterfalls are amazing and the animal areas are just wonderful. My oldest son loved feeding the toucans! We went back three times just so... More

I was very impressed with this park of Flora and Fauna. They have created walkways and railings out of concrete that look just like wood. I wish there were more identification tags on the plants and animals I thought the signage was lacking for taxonomy. All in all excellent exhibits again these are all rescue animals that can't be released... More

I had no idea what this waterfall would hold in terms of an attraction. My only regret is that we did not dedicate more time to the visit. This place is utterly amazing! One of my favorite sites was going into the toucan house and actually being able to put one on my arm! How cool is that! The butterfly... More
