It is one of the showpieces in modern architecture and the one of the two most beautiful station buildings in Belgium, along with Antwerp Central. A must visit in Liège. Also quite functional, with some shops, transport office, ATMs, toilets and more.
My god, when it's windy or cold this is without doubt the worst station to find yourself waiting for a train. If ever a building was guilty of 'style over substance' than Gare de Liege is it.

An uninteresting city like Liege certainly doesn't deserve this station. It's one of the most beautiful railway stations I have seen around Europe (maybe second most beautiful after Antwerpen) - shame that it's surrounded by boring suburbs.
