Big cathedral, looks good in night

This cathedral is a big one. It has a traditional European architecture. It looks good in the night, light makes it mesmerized one. It is situated near the city centre.

It's a very nice one. With some interesting details. One was the one behind the pulpit. Also very impressive are the stain glass windows: a mix of old and new. Definitely a good place to rest is at the park next to it.

Liège has a variety of historical churches and religious buildings to visit; some are more inviting and interesting than others but the one not to miss is Cathedral Saint-Paul de Liège (Liège Cathedral), the seat of the Diocese of Liège. Located in the city center, the interior is an impressive amalgam of architectural designs incorporated over hundreds of years. The... More

Although not one of the iconic cathedrals of Europe, this is worth a short visit if you are in Liege. It seems to be more in need of restoration work than I have typically seen in my travels. Some of the windows and paintings are nearly impossible to see due to centuries of soot/pollution. Modern stained glass by two 20th... More

For me this was my favourite attraction (beside beers and waffels ofc.) in Liege. Attractive and huge. Worth to spend some time to discover inside.

A church is a church, a cathedral is a cathedral - this one is very typical, and gothic, too. BUT: there are glass windows made by contemporary artists, too, and that is very unusual, and very woth seeing (especially the 11 windows by Gottfried Honegger).

While the cathedral in itself is not the most beautiful or interesting in the region, it's museum "treasure" is certainly worthwhile. it is beautifully set and offers an interesting view on the religious history of Liege. Also interesting is that your ticket allows you free entry to another great museum on the Place Saint-Lambert.

Worth a visit when in Liege although the exterior (like most of Liege) could do with a clean. Helpful kiosk staff at rear of church with booklets in different languages on the history and the sculptures etc in the church. Restaurants nearby.

We went in this large cathedral on Christmas Day during a short visit to Liege. It was surprisingly quiet and enabled us to look around at leisure. We found the building and particularly the large size, impressive. The range and design of stained glass windows were well worth seeing. The Christmas nativity display was also very large. The cathedral is... More
