Private 8-hour excursion to Ghent and Antwerp from Brussels with Hotel Pick Up

Bruges and Ghent are two charming, small towns in Belgium, each just a short train ride away from Brussels. In a perfect world, Bruges and Ghent each deserve their own day for exploring. However, if you are short on time, you can visit Bruges and Ghent in one day.

Namur is the capital city of the Wallonia region of Belgium. At the confluence of the Meuse and Sambre rivers is the Citadel, a medieval fortress with 7km of underground passages, gardens, views and a golden statue of a giant turtle. In town, the Felicien Rops Museum focuses on the works of this 19th-century, Namur-born erotic artist. The baroque St. Loup Church has marble columns and a richly carved ceiling.

Church from 17th century - fine example of Baroque style. Richly decorated interior with characteristic columns. Also fine carved ceiling. Worth a look - even through the glass if it's closed.

A lady explained about the church and gave us an English depliant. Great wooden works and spectacular ceilings.

This church is a jewel box. I particularly enjoyed the sculpture of Mary (on the left side). The church was built in 1621, in a Baroque style. If you are new in town, you should definitely pay a visit to this delightful lady.

There are many enthusiastic reviews on Internet about the more than 3-century old Church Saint-Loup ("St. Wolf"), so you should visit it too in order to stay in the rank of conventional tourists. In exchange, if it happens that you are a fan of Baroque-style architecture, then the site is a must-see.
