I'd highly recommend a visit to the Museum of Dr. Guislain. It's an easy trip via the 1 tram and you can spend all day in the grounds and various exhibits. Their permanent collection features an interesting timeline of psychiatric treatment, and the other galleries...More

A very short tram ride from the center of Ghent is this museum located in a complex that is still a psychiatric hospital. The oldest buildings have been turned into a museum; quite interesting and complete. Additionally they host modern art exhibitions in one wing.
