Once you have visited everything Ghent has to offer, it is a nice idea to just walk around the river from the city centre towards the Portus Ganda before leaving. The walk is calm and nice and once you get there you can see the...More

I tend to be a positive type of person in my reviews, but for the life of me I can't see why the TripAdvisor reviews of this area are so positive. It's a fairly small marina by anyone's standards with very few boats worth looking...More

Here you can see how important the small rivers are for Ghent. A nice port, in the middle of the city.

This is a small marina on the edge of the city where you can walk along the side of the canal and view the moored boats.

Pleasant surprise walking through the streets of downtown, I found myself on the edge of one of these beautiful channels. A stroll on the boardwalk enjoying a nice warm sunny day, people sitting on benches or chairs of the bars, admiring this beautiful show. One...More

it is new installed and very interesting for water-loving people - but for a 'hystoric' tourist it is not worth the steps to go thereto

Here is where the rivers Schelde and Leie come together. Here is where it all started. The Marina is a nice place to while away an hour or so. To the left, on the other side of the water, there is a wooden platform. From...More
