We stumbled on this moderate sized church and found it lovely. Interesting church to visit. It has a stunning stain glass window . One of the best I have seen. Has a contemporary look to it that I really liked

Nice peaceful church were you can gather your thoughts and light a candle or two. I was confused with the display on the back wall which showed a manger with which I thought was Mary Joseph and baby Jesus then in front of that a...More

For many years this church was closed to the public, but now, a large part is restored and open for visit. A very nice organ (Cavallie Coll!), and some typical baroque paintings and decorations. One of the nicer churches in the city.

Not a church to specially go to Sint-Niklaas to, but rather nice inside and rather sparingly decorated. There is a recent organ, and with some luck you will hear someone play on it. There are quite a few images of St Nicolas hidden throughout the...More

we visited Gent on a very sunny and warm day. we entered the church as we wanted to cool down and keep the little one out of the cars and trams. we discovered a nice church and we didn't regret the visit.

If you happen to be in the area do go in and have a quick visit... But don't expect anything spectacular... It's not a touristy place and good to see if you're in the area... I'd definitely not come back to Sint Niklaas as we...More

A very old church with many interesting items to see inside the church. Right off the main city center square.

I wasn't particularly impressed with St Nicolas Church. There's nothing wrong with it - it just hasn't got much to recommend other than the fact that it shares its name with the city I was visiting.
