You know I always wonder how the people back the built this place to perfection! I am always amazed on its ancient style yet still very much relevant to our time. The stones, the design are so beautiful. It is very peaceful & it has such a nice atmosphere to it.

About 10 streets. All houses in very good state. Tranquility, peace of mind, with cobble stones and beautiful small gardens (No high heels 😊).

The old Groot Begijnhof is worth a visit! It is apartments for the university, so you won't be able to visit any of the buildings. But the streets are very narrow and charming.

This town within a town is an extraordinary historical site now lovingly preserved. However, if you don't know about its history or the tradition of béguinages in the Low Countries I would recommend you look at the Wikipedia page beforehand because you won't be told very much by the very modest tourist information on offer at the site. This is... More

Simple really. If you want a nice, pleasant, quiet walk, away from the city in a lovely environment, then take a stroll here. Enjoy!

It feels and looks like a small town from 100 years ago. It's definitely worth seeing if you visit Leuven. It has a nice atmosphere to it, especially on colder, darker winter days.

If you visit Leuven, the Begijnhof is a MUST to see. A great walk to experience the quietness and history of the site. It's not big, but you need to spend a bit of time to get the emotion flowing trough you. I always wonder how such location can exist in a city like Leuven... Walls, church and walkaways are... More

It's a great place to go with the entire family, especially if you have young children. There's women evolution history being told there...without words. I love what the University has done with the property. Hopefully it will continue so for a long time to come. Don't go to Leuven though, exclusively for that. Build around a full day excursion in...
