So we thought museum about fries? Let's give it a try! It is literally the most boring museum I have ever been to and you don't even get free fries at the end. I am only giving a 1 because the fries that I did buy in the cafe were delicious. Top tip: Don't go! Go and get a waffle... More

Here's a tip, read about the origins of potatoes and fries on Wikipedia and spend your seven euros on a few beers. Here's another tip: don't buy a drink from the cafe unless you are rich! This place does however sell the cheapest fridge magnets in Bruges.

My boyfriend and I visited on Valentines day and were treated to a free frites/ meatball demonstration. We went into a little room in the cellar and were given an amazing demonstration of how to make great frites and meatballs- a real treat! The man who did the demonstration was lovely and even made some little heart-shaped potato snacks for... More

We bought tickets as an add on to the Chocolate museum, but really not worth the trouble... Very basic small exhibition, only positive that's with everywhere we have been in Bruges the staff were charming.

I really should have known better - it's not like we're novice travelers. But we were wrapped up in the moment. Bruges is a beautiful city, the day was perfect so we thought what the heck. I should have been forewarned when the ticket seller looked over our group of four (the only people at the booth) and sold us... More

If you have the time it is fun to explore and see all of the history and later sample some fries in a restaurant.

Bought the combo ticket with the Choco Story (which is also unintentionally hilarious). I spent a lot of my visit laughing, but I was not laughing with the museum. It was such a weird experience. Some hilarious photo opportunities. Disappointed that you had to pay for the chips at the end, but at least there was a discount.

If you like to do quirky things, and you've seen the rest of Brugges, then go to this museum. Lots to read about the history of potatoes, how fries are made, and you can buy some at the end. Very good rainy-day activity that you can do in a very short time at a very reasonable price.

All in all a lovely visit if a little odd! I was lovely to learn about the history of the fried. However €8 to visit was quite over priced! The best part was tasting the friets at the end of the journey that for large portion were only €2,20.

I found this really interesting - a lot of writing which is great if you want to learn about the history of the potato and Belgian fritz! There is also really interesting historical displays and hands on stuff. The fritz at the end are really good but I wish you got to eat them in a place with windows.
