The historic center of Bruges has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000 thanks to its status as one of the commercial and cultural capitals of Europe and its enduring Gothic architecture. The Belgian city center is cited as a great example of a medieval historic settlement, even while it has evolved over the years.

Gorgeous place to visit, lots of bars, shops and chocolate. A must is a boat trip for 8 euros and a horse and carriage ride although more expensive at 50 euros.

Bruges was all we expected it to be and more. Clean and graffiti free. The buildings and canal live up to their reputation. A Fairy Tale city with friendly people.

Great architecture, lots of eateries (although read the reviews first as a lot seem to be overpriced tourist traps), speciality shops, boat trips, carriage rides, museums and bars - there must be something for you in this city! It is crowded with tours between 10 and 6 but before or after those times it is lovely. Wander around as there... More

Markt was a bit disappointing during the day and evening maybe its because of the lunapark in setup in the middle

Enjoy a carriage ride and walking the old city. Lots to do and see. Also a wide range of shops. Churches, museums, excellent restaurants, beers and chocolate.

This is a wonderful city. There are sights to see around every corner. If your interests include wonderful architecture, world class beer, divine chocolates, top class restaurants or smaller excellent eateries then Bruges is for you. It is a city you can return to time and time again and continue to find something new.

Wonderful place to meander and explore. Lots to see. Remember to look up, as well as down. Wear sensible shoes - cobbled streets can be tricky to navigate!
