I wandered back to this spot a couple of time during my sojourn in Bruges- it was so peaceful - I could almost image back in the 1200 - 1400's the nuns living there, crossing the court yard on their daily walks. Beautiful!

You need to visit this place, it's beautiful and relaxing, just soak up the atmosphere. Go at 16:30 too hear the nuns sing.

Best visited with a good guide. The church is so peaceful and the old nuns give a feeling of eternity.

... but I do not appreciate the way in which hordes of tourists are hurried through the place and the sisters (bless' em all!) are making a quick buck through steep museum fees. Not as nice and quaint as it was a couple of years...More
