The 115 metres high brick tower of the Church of Our Lady is a perfect illustration of the craftsmanship of Bruges' artisans. The church displays a valuable art collection: Michelangelo's world-famous Madonna and Child, countless paintings, 13th-century painted sepulchres and the tombs of Mary of Burgundy and Charles the Bold.

We went especially to see this and weren’t disappointed worth the visit just to see this beautiful statue. Some fantastic artwork and stained glass windows. Restoration work going on in part of the building although still enjoyed our visit

The Madonna and the church are beautiful and well worth the entry fee. There is construction going on but it did not detract at all from our visit.

This cathedral is currently undergoing renovation so has limited space for touring but the Michelangelo sculpture is worth the effort.

Be sure to buy tickets across the street. Under construction during October 2017, but still a very good visit. Paintings, sculpture, incomparable history in this beautiful historic city.

Beautiful church despite the restorations going on and many intricate works to see. Add the impressive stained glass windows and the feeling of the place especially due to the high ceilings (there is something special in the ceilings, look around and find it) make the...More

Came here just for Michelangelo, but pleasantly surprised by range of art on the church walls, early painted tombs and 16th century monuments. Currently undergoing significant restoration (2017), but enough is available to make it worthwhile. Note you need to purchase a ticket elsewhere (...More

Even though it is under refurbishment this is still worth visiting for the impressive interior and the Madonna. Top tip is to do this as mart of the 20 euro museum card as it doesn’t take long and is near plenty of other places the...More

Disappointed there was a lot of necessary renovations happening in the church but it didn't spoil it too much Still worth a visit and wonderful to see the real thing.

I think you have to pay if you want to see the Madonna by michaelangelo but i think it is free if you want to enter the church and not see the madonna.
