The best museum in Brugge to see old paitings of great masters. Many tourists overthere, so buy tickets before

This is a fantastic museum with lovely, compact grounds. The medieval collection especially is brilliant, including a harrowing Hieronymus Bosch piece depicting humanity's descent into hell.

A good portion of the museum was closed off, including the section with ‘The Last Judgement’ by Jheronimus Bosch - the whole reason we went. Still, once that's open, it will be worthwhile.

Spent an hour or so here browsing the current exhibition. Stunning works of art. Ticket includes entry to other museums . Located v nr to centre and next to Dijver where there is a small flea market on Sat morning.

Part of the museum was closed but the rooms you can view can be done within 20 minutes - not worth it!

We came to this museum because it's so well known so we expected to see a lot. We paid full price and we weren't told half of the museum was closed so we were quite disappointed. The paintings we did see were beautiful, but wish there were more explanations.

This museum is currently undergoing renovation. You're still charged 6 euro to get in, but there are only 2 rooms of paintings (one of which is devoted to modern art) and my Aunt and I left feeling totally swizzed. I understand that usually they have audio guides. These aren't available at the moment. Many of the paintings really need some... More

Though small collection, just terrific group of early Netherlands paintings. And the winding path to the entrance still enjoyable. Don't miss the little park adjacent to it.

The collection is relatively small but the works contained are fine examples of Flemish art through the ages. We went on the 20 Euro Museumpas multi ticket which lasts for 3 consecutive days and is very good value. Enjoyed Van Eyck's work greatly but was disappointed at not seeing Bosch's Last Testament again as it is still on loan. Such... More
