At least you are away from the overcrowded streets where tourist walk together as cattle from one POI to another POI. Th is lake with the beautiful name Minnewater, which means , water where you can be tender with one another. "Minnen" is an old medieval word for loving somebody.

A very beautiful lake. Very peaceful, pretty, good location. A lovely place to get away from the busy city and take 5 to breath and relax. I would go back to Minnewater Lake if I visit Bruges again, it is just lovely.

This visit, pouring down, signs of overnight snow clearing, previous visit, glorious weather. Regardless, this is such a pretty place, and has a 'feel good' factor. as usual lots of photos being taken from the bridge

A very pleasant walk around the outskirtd of the city, but don't expect to find a Lovers' "lake" - it's no more than a small reservoir. Worth a look as part of a walk, but don't make a special trip.

Nice part of Bruges to visit. Good walk to the park itself and good photo opportunities with the park and wildlife!

Great place for a walk and a breather from all the chocolate and waffle shops! It's a shame that the cafe is not really worth a visit. It had a very funny smell and the paint is peeling from the walls and ceilings. There's a tiny playground at one end.

I suppose it's a quaint enough setting and all for a romantic walk or short bike ride, but there's nothing spectacular here. There was a dying duck under the dam. There was also a dead dog in the lake. It was brown with short hair, medium sized.
