Historium Brugge is an experience attraction and the perfect starting point from which to discover Bruges. The historically inspired and experience-oriented set-up of the attraction shows visitors how citizens of Bruges lived during the city's Golden Age. During a 1 hour performance visitors travel back in time and walk through 7 themed rooms where they will be carried away by an exciting love story that illustrates life as it was back in 1435. In a fascinating way both young and old are teached about Bruges' rich history and cultural charm. After visiting the attraction visitors can learn more about the city's medieval past in the interactive exhibition where visitors will be provided with detailed explanations about historical images and artefacts that are a part of the attraction. An interactive quiz acts as an educational and fun-filled way of transferring knowledge. The total duration of a visit is up to about 1,5 hours. After having enjoyed the unique and magnificent view over the town square from the 2nd floor's panoramic terrace, you might as well taste some nice Belgian beers at Duvelorium (Grand Beer Cafe) with covered terrace for another marvellous panoramic view over the Markt. And why not go home with some selected souvenirs from our museum shop?Situated in an authentic historical building in the heart of the city, Historium Brugge is the perfect gateway for a unique visit to Bruges. Historium Brugge is open daily from 10AM - 6PM (tickets until 5PM), Friday from 10AM - 8PM (tickets until 7PM).Start your visit to Bruges here. Historium is your rendezvous with history.

Interested funny way to learn small peace of Brugge history. Overall in my view very good decorations and quality of audio and video. Upstair there is a bar with view on main square where it is possible to make cool photos.

Well worth the inexpensive price of admission, you then put on special virtual reality glasses that take you back in time to being an Apprentice on a ship pulling out of the habor. Available in multiple languages the friendly staff explains how to wear the...More

History of Brugge wrapped up in a story. Educational and entertaining. A different kind of museum. Worth a visit. Have a drink in the bar on the terrace afterwards and watch the world go by in the Makt

Not on a par with the London Dungeon but well worth a visit. Main part is walk through several rooms with interactive headsets so language no problem. A little human interaction wold have been nice but film snippets set the scene well. The VR experience...More

We expected to hear about the history of Bruges, but instead it was a series of videos telling a fairytale that never happened. Once in there, you had to keep going to get to the exit. Take the city tour bus that leaves from just...More

The name Historium is very misleading - all of the content is fictional and doesn't really teach you anything about the actual history of Bruges. It wasn't bad in itself and could be great for kids, but just don't expect to learn anything about the...More

The tour is walking through 7 or so rooms watching some story of a boy who wants to hook up with some hot girl and loses his green parrot. That's literally the whole story. Don't waste your time.

I intended this experience to be a comprehensive history of Bruges. Instead, you watch a wholly uninteresting, fictional account of an apprentice that provides little to no insight into the city. Save you're sixteen euro and see an actual film instead of this monumental rip-off....More
